“Once Upon a Time” is an ongoing project inspired by Brexit referendum.

Among the key points of the leave campaign there were the NHS spending, immigration control, manufacturing crisis and the lack of independence on the public spending.

After the recent referendum results I decided to devote my urban explorations to the varied landscape of the United Kingdom in search for clues.

Far from the celebrated landmarks, I pursue places that were built for purpose but taken over by time. I celebrate the evolved aesthetic of sites once abandoned, capturing these places in the rawness of their surrender to nature.

Derelict manufacturing sites now devoured by trees, former admin offices now infested by ivy, urinals in abandoned NHS buildings now become vases where moss flourishes…

Is this the essence of Brexit?
